MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
A
Memorandum of Understanding has signed between the ACMS and the Employers Association in the Brahmaputra Valley on 19th
September, 1992 regarding issue of protective clothing to the temporary
workers. the subject was further discussed between the parties on 10th
January, 1993 at Guwahati and a formal agreement was signed between the
parties on the following terms:
Terms of
agreement:-
(a) Agreed that Umbrella and apron will be issued by the management free
of cost to a temporary worker who works at least for three months during the
preceeding issued for a period of three plucking seasons.
(b) Agreed that
in respect of Chappal. it will be issued for a period of one year.
(c)
The issue of Umbrella, Chappal and Apron will
commence form season 1993.
(d) It is
agreed that if any temporary worker is dismissed form his service or the
worker abandones his employment during the period of issue of protective
clothing, the cost of protective clothing will be proportionately
recovered form the concerned workers dues.
(e) The Union also raised the issue of
blanket to which the Employers could not agree for the time being.
During the pendency of the agreement the
Union will not raise any dispute in respect of the above.
