MEMORANDUM OF SETTLEMENT

Name of the Parties: The Tea Industry oh Assam represented by the four employers Association namely:- 1. Indian Tea Association. 2. Assam Tea Planters Association . 3. Tea Association of India. 4. Bharatiya :Chah Parisad. And The workers represented by : 1. Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha 2. Cachar Chah Sramik Union. Present: Representicves of the Employers: 1. Shri V K. SHORT RECITAL The Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha and the Cachar Cha Sramik Union have been pressing a demand for sometime that the workers should be supplied with a jersy or a blanket for protection form cold. This demand was considered at a meeting of the representatives of the employers and workers held at Gauhati on the 17th December, 1974 and a settlement arrived at on the following terms:- It is hereby agreed that with effect form 1974/1975 cold weather the employers will issues one cotton blanket of mutually agreed quality to each worker for protection form cold. These blankets will be replaced every alternate year.
