6) Assam Chah Mazdoor  Sangha, Nazira Branch:

ACMS, Nazira Branch initiated to do welfare activities for development of the tea garden workers under the Branch.  Keeping view of it, the matter was taken up with O.N.G.C.   Authority who has undertaken land of the Tea Companies of   Nazira Circle for its operation. O.N.G.C. is very kind to  sanction  the followings:

1.  Purified water supply project and Pucca L.P. School  both cost about 5 (five) Lakhs  in Ligiripukhuri T.E.

2. One Pucca Room of Nahorhabi T.E. L P School is  extended.

3. A pucca L P School in Deopani T.E. is constructed.

4.  Pucca shade for rest of the passengers is constructed at Hatipati T.E.

8) Branch Welfare Activities:   

• ACMS, Nazira Branch has organised ‘Health Camp’ for  the children of the workers of the Tea Estates under it. Form the inception of the foundation of ACMS, Nazira Branch encourages the tea garden workers to maintain own indigenous culture holding cultural competition, cultural rally   and different workshop on ‘Music and Dance’ in the tea estates  under it.

• ACMS, Nazira Branch is organising a Running Football  Tournament in Memory of the then famous Trade Union   Leader Mahendra Nath Sharma each year to create sportsprite among the young generation belonging to Tea Tribes in the area concerned
